Entrepreneurship has always been in my DNA. Before founding Blackfin Accounting, I built and led Wolfguard IT, a company I started in Bozeman, Montana. Wolfguard wasn’t just another IT support firm—we operated as a true extension of our clients’ businesses, providing full-service IT and cybersecurity support tailored to companies with 10 to 200 employees. Our approach was simple: predictable, all-inclusive service with proactive strategies to prevent issues before they happened. It was a model that built trust and long-term success for both us and our clients.

After a successful exit from Wolfguard, I took time to reflect on my next venture. Running my own company had shown me firsthand the importance of financial clarity. I often wished I had an accountant who truly understood my business, someone who wasn’t just crunching numbers but actively providing insights that could help me grow and handle my tax proactively. That realization sparked the idea for Blackfin Accounting.
